Brussels, 18/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - The Euro-Mediterranean MedGeneration project, which was designed as part of the European Neighbourhood policy and is aimed at mobilising economic stakeholders from the Palestinian diaspora in Europe for the development of Mediterranean countries, is organising a series of events in Palestine on 16-19 May.
The objective is to mobilise “the talents of the Palestinian diaspora”, a press release stated on 18 May.
The action is being conducted by the Palestinian Incubator of Information and Communications Technology (PICTI) and the Palestinian Investment Promotion Agency (PIPA). It is aimed at identifying the services offered by Palestine to members of its diaspora, at establishing local business opportunities and at understanding the positive role that they themselves could play in the country's economic development.
The MedGeneration project is equipped with a budget of €1.92 million and has been implemented over the last 30 months since December 2013. The EU contributes up to 90% of its budget. (Original version in French by Fathi B'Chir)
