19/04/2016 (Agence Europe) - EP committee approves EU/Mauritania agreement. As planned, (see EUROPE 11532), the European Parliament Fisheries Committee made a recommendation on Tuesday 19 April to approve the conclusion of the new EU-Mauritanian fisheries deal. The EP will vote during the May plenary in Strasbourg (9-12 May) on the report by Gabriel Mato (EPP, Spain), who indicated that the new EU/Mauritania fisheries protocol "represents a major step forward compared to the previous one"....
