Banking Union - Parliament supports creation of 'Deposit Guarantee' pillar

Brussels, 10/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament on Thursday 10 March took on board the draft 2015 report on the Banking Union, which welcomes the state of progress with Banking Union in the eurozone and the proposal to create a European deposit insurance scheme (EDIS).

The report calls for Banking Union to be completed through the creation of a bank deposit insurance scheme and a backstop for the Single Resolution Fund (SRF), the chair of the 'Economic and monetary affairs'...
