Anger growing as Commission to propose authorising glyphosate for a further 15 years on 7 March

Brussels, 02/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - Anger is rising at the European Commission's plan to propose in a few days' time to renew for 15 years the authorisation to use the glyphosate pesticide in the European Union despite the dispute between World Health Organisation (WHO) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) scientists. The Greens/EFA at the European Parliament have already expressed indignation at the plans (see EUROPE 11498).
