23/02/2016 (Agence Europe) - Normandy format meeting 3 March in Paris. On Monday, 22 February, the respective German and French Foreign Ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Jean-Marc Ayrault, announced that another Foreign Affairs Ministerial level Normandy format meeting would be held on Thursday 3 March in Paris. During a joint visit to Kiev, Steinmeier said: “This will be a decisive meeting and we need to make progress if we are to preserve the credibility of the entire peace process in this conflict”. He added that “There is no reason to be satisfied with the progress” made so far on the ground, given that violence is still continuing and the political process has stalled. The two ministers also called on the Ukrainian authorities to put a stop to the political crisis, so that it was possible to continue with the reform process. The French Minister simply explained We are aware of the efforts made by Kiev to carry out a number of reforms but we are also looking at what still needs to be done and it is quite considerable. I would even say that we are pressed for time”. (CG)
