Nairobi, 17/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - Liberia's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) was officially approved by the organisation's 162 member countries on Wednesday 16 December - the second day of the WTO's 10th ministerial conference in Nairobi. Liberia's president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and Kenya's president, Uhuru Kenyatta, were present. Liberia will become the WTO's 35th least developed country (LDC) member. There are 48 LDCs listed by the United Nations.
