15/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - Council adopts decision on EU joining Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna. Without debate on Monday 14 December, the EU Council of Ministers adopted a decision to conclude, on behalf of the EU, the exchange of letters to obtain membership of the Extended Commission of the Convention for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT) (see EUROPE 11437). The signing of this instrument of international law will enable the European Union to become a full member of CCSBT. The EU has been a cooperating non-member of the CCSBT since 2006. (LC)
