20/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - WHO-Europe meets to discuss refugee health. The regional bureau for Europe of the World Health Organisation will discuss the health challenges raised by the refugee crisis at a meeting in Rome on 23 and 24 November. Ministers and high-ranking representatives from the region will discuss the management of (non-)transmissible diseases in the wake of large movements of people. Given the inter-regional pertinence of the phenomenon, ministers from some countries of origin or transit of the refugees and immigrants may also attend. A report and a final document will be published and used in the future to prepare regional policy guidelines on immigrant and refugee health in order to provide more targeted support to the member states.
