Commission displayed negligence in its PIP breast implant examination

Brussels, 05/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - According to the European Ombudsman, Emily O'Reilly, the European Commission must examine the independence of its scientists much more thoroughly. In her decision on Tuesday 27 October, she asserted that civil society had been right to suspect a conflict of interests within the scientific committee regarding emerging and new health risks (SCENIHR).
