On Wednesday 23 September, the European Commission added three new products to the list of protected geographical indications (PGI) and protected designations of origin (PDO). These are, for Croatia, Baranjski kulen (PGI), a pork sausage; for Spain, Melon de Torre Pacheco-Murcia (PGI), a sweet melon grown in Murcia; and for Italy, Patata novella di Galatina (PDO), a potato from the province of Lecce.
