Serbian authorities called on EU solidarity on Tuesday 22 September, seeking assistance through the civil protection mechanism to help it cope with the influx of migrants trying to enter the European Union. It has requested material support for beds, mattresses, hygiene items, vehicles, fuel and food. (MB)
