10 films selected for 2015 Lux Prize

Brussels, 07/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 6 July, the European Parliament announced the ten films shortlisted for the 2015 Lux Prize. This prize is awarded every year for the film judged to be most representative of European values. The ten shortlisted films are: 1) 45Years by Andrew Haigh (United Kingdom); 2) A Perfect Day by Fernando León de Aranoa (Spain); 3) Rams by Grímur Hákonarson (Iceland/Denmark); 4) The Measure Of A Man by Stéphane Brizé (France); 5) Mediterranea by Jonas Carpignano (Italy/US/Germany/France/Qatar); 6) Mustang by Deniz Gamze Ergüven (France/ Germany/Turkey/Qatar); 7) Son Of Saul by László Nemes (Hungary); 8) Toto And His Sisters by Alexander Nanau (Romania/Hungary/Germany/); 9) The Lesson by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov (Bulgaria/Greece); 10) The High Sun by Dalibor Matanic (Croatia/Slovenia/Serbia). The winner will be announced at the end of the year. The winning film well be translated into the 24 official languages of the EU and will be seen in all the 28 member states, with the goal of providing the filmmaker with as large a profile as possible in Europe.
