Brussels, 03/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 3 July, the European Commission announced the adoption of the rural development programme of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with an envelope of €368 million in public funds (2014-2020), including €100.6 million from the budget of the European Union.
Luxembourg's programme attaches great importance to the environmental aspect (biodiversity, management of water and soil, reducing greenhouse gases) and the competitiveness of the agricultural sector.
This decision brings the total number of programmes adopted to 56, with an EU contribution of €62.9 billion (out of a total of 118 programmes with a total budget of €99.6 billion). This week, the Commission also adopted the French national framework and the programmes of the Italian Region of Molise (€101.02 million from the EU budget and €109.45 million in national funding) and of the Spanish Region of Murcia (€219.3 million from the EU budget and €128.8 million in national funding).
