Brussels, 02/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 2 July, the European Commission approved the extension, until 31 December 2015, of the Irish scheme applicable to struggling credit unions. It finds that the extended measures are targeted, proportionate and limited in time and scope. It therefore takes the view that they are compatible with its guidelines on state aid to banks during the crisis. (Élodie Lamer)
