07/05/2015 (Agence Europe) - Lorenzo Natali Prize 2015 now open to non-journalists. The annual Lorenzo Natali Prize which judges professional journalists on the quality of their articles on development issues, opened on Monday 4 May with the theme 'Today's stories can change our tomorrow.' It coincides this year with the European Development Year that aims to raise public awareness about the effects of the EU's development policy and the importance of committing to eradicating poverty around the world. For the first time, the competition is now open to non-professional writers such as bloggers from five regions in the world (Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Arab world, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia and the Pacific). Each prize-winner in the amateur or professional category will receive a trophy and €5,000. (AN)
