Poland and Slovenia threatened with heavy fines for e-waste recycling failures

Brussels, 29/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - Poland and Slovenia are being referred to the European Court of Justice and face the threat of heavy financial fines for persistent failure to respect the new European directive on recycling e-waste (directive 2012/19/EU, the so-called WEEE Directive). The European Commission made this decision on Wednesday 29 April.
