Aid from EU Solidarity Fund following adverse weather conditions in three countries

Brussels, 09/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 9 April, the European Commission granted aid under the EU Solidarity Fund to Bulgaria, Italy and Romania, three member states which were hit by major flooding in 2014.

The aid will be ventilated as follows: - €1.98 million for Bulgaria; - €56 million for Italy; and nearly €8.5 million for Romania. These countries suffered major flooding between May and August 2014. The aid will help them to pay for the cost of rescues, cover the...
