Brussels, 18/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday evening 17 March, the European Union denounced the signature by the Russian Federation of the “Treaty on Alliance and Integration” with Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia announced for 18 March.
The EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini, said that Russia's signing of this “so-called” treaty will be “another step that goes against ongoing efforts to strengthen security and stability in the region”.
