Brussels, 10/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - Following the meeting of the Eurogroup on Monday 9 March, the Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Pierre Moscovici, once again called upon the Cypriot authorities to implement the legal framework on property seizures and insolvency. The two latest bills are to be discussed this Wednesday 11 March by the Chamber of Representatives, the Cypriot press reports, with a plenary vote which could take place the day after. The Cypriot finance minister, Harris Georgiades, said over the weekend that he was optimistic that the island's parliament would shortly vote to allow these measures to be implemented. The Cypriot press anticipates that the vote will be a tight one. The 'troika' (Commission, ECB and IMF) left Cyprus in early February, awaiting progress in this area and could resume its monitoring mission later in March. (Elodie Lamer)
