ECON committee vote on benchmarks postponed

Brussels, 05/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - The MEP Cora van Nieuwenhuizen (ALDE, Netherlands), who is heading up the work at the EP on the proposed regulation to fight the manipulation of benchmarks, has been obliged to ask for the vote on this dossier by the economic committee of the Parliament, initially scheduled for this 9 March, to be postponed.

Most of the questions remain open: scope, proportionality, supervision, the issue of commodity benchmarks, etc. The text is however expected to be...
