Makers of potentially defective medical device must bear cost of replacement

Brussels, 05/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - Where a medical device has a potential defect, all products of the same model may be classified as defective and the manufacturer must reimburse the costs relating to replacement of the product, the Court of Justice of the EU ruled on Thursday 5 March (joined cases C-503/13 and C-504/13).
