Three member states challenged over energy efficiency directive

Brussels, 26/02/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 26 February, the European Commission sent reasoned opinions to Greece and Portugal, requesting that they give notification of all the measures taken to transpose Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency.

The directive requires member states to achieve energy savings between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2020 by using energy efficiency obligations schemes and other targeted policy measures to drive energy efficiency improvements in...
