The French journalist Arnaud Leparmentier has won the European Book Prize in the “essay” category, for his book “Ces Français, fossoyeurs de l'euro” (“The French, Gravediggers of the Euro”) and Spain's Eduardo Mendoza won the “novel” category for his book “An Englishman in Madrid”. The seventh award ceremony of the Prize was held in the European Parliament in Brussels on 4 December. (IL)
