25/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - Sefcovic to visit Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan from 26 to 28 November. Energy cooperation and the southern gas corridor plans will be at the heart of the visit of Commission Vice-President and Energy Union Commissioner Maros Sefcovic to these two key Central Asian partners of the EU. In Kazakhstan, on 27 November, Sefcovic will take part in and deliver a key note speech at the ministerial meeting of the Energy Charter Conference in Astana. Bilateral meetings with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov and Georgian Deputy Prime Minister Kakha Kaladze are planned on the sidelines of the conference. Sefcovic will continue his trip to Azerbaijan where he will hold talks with Azeri Prime Minister Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku. (EH)
