20/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - Second farm contaminated in the Netherlands. The Dutch authorities announced on Thursday 20 November that the avian flu virus had been discovered in a second poultry farm. They stated, however, that it was not a highly pathogenic variant (see EUROPE 11198). The virus was detected in a farm of 43,000 birds at Ter Aar, in the west of the country. The birds have been destroyed and the farm disinfected by health authorities. (LC)
