Customs fraud and information security negotiations

Brussels, 07/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament is ready to begin negotiations with the Council and Commission on preventing customs fraud and drawing up an information security network strategy. On Tuesday 7 October, the EP's internal market committee (IMCO) granted a negotiating brief to Liisa Jaakonsaari (S&D, Finland) and Andreas Schawb (EPP, Germany), the rapporteurs on the subjects, by 28 votes in favour, with 2 against.
