Brussels, 03/09/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 3 September, US authorities decided not to accept the request of Norwegian Air to provide transatlantic flights. The European Commission regretted this decision - when Norwegian Air had set up a branch in Dublin and was planning on employing its staff on Singaporean contracts in order to provide less expensive flights. The move was described by unions as “using a flag of convenience”, and the unions applauded the US decision.
