25/08/2014 (Agence Europe) - Davutoglu is new prime minister. On Thursday 21 August, the Turkish foreign affairs minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, was appointed the new prime minister of Turkey. He succeeds Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has been elected to the presidency. Davutoglu, 55, had been the foreign minister since 2009.
