15/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - Goldman Sachs/Koch Industries' acquisition of Flint Group given go-ahead. On 15 July, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the acquisition of Flint Group GmbH (Germany) by Goldman Sachs and Koch Industries (of the United States). Goldman Sachs is an investment bank and global asset management company. Koch Industries produces, sells and supplies services in a number of sectors, including fuel, pulp and paper, packaging, chemicals, anti-pollution technology and cattle breeding. Flint produces and supplies ink and other printing consumables around the world. Given the limited combined market share and the presence of plenty of rivals, the Commission says the deal does not raise competition concerns. (EL)
