12/06/2014 (Agence Europe) - EIB loan for extension of LNG terminal in Greece. On Wednesday 11 June, the European Investment Bank announced a loan of €40 million to the Greek National Gas System Operator, DESFA, to fund the extension of a liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal on the island of Revithoussa, in the outer suburbs of Athens. This support follows an earlier loan of €23 million granted by the EIB in 2006 to build the same LNG terminal. (EH)
