Brussels, 20/05/2014 (Agence Europe) - The eurosceptic Europe of Freedom and Democracy (EFD) Group led by Nigel Farage from the UK could come in fourth place after voting on 25 May, according to a new forecast published by PollWatch on 20 May. With 66 seats (compared with 63 in the previous parliamentary period), the EFD could come in after ALDE (66 seats), the Social Democrats (201 seats) and the EPP, which is forecast to win the election with 218 seats. In fifth place, the radical Left GUE/NGL could win 55 seats compared with the 35 seats it currently holds. Conservatives from the ECR Group could have 45 seats - ahead of the Greens/EFA (42 seats). The new populist Right group formed around Marine le Pen and Geert Wilders could have 38 seats, outstripping the non-attached who are predicted to have 16 representatives. (SP)
