02/05/2014 (Agence Europe) - New minister in Spain. On 28 April, Isabel Garcia Tejerina took up her post as minister for agriculture, food and the environment in the Spanish government. She replaces Miguel Arias Canete, who has been named head of list for the Popular Party (PP) for the European elections and could be Madrid's candidate for the next European Commission. Garcia Tejerina, who is 45-years old, was previously secretary general at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. (LC)
