Brussels, 01/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 31 March, Amnesty International urged EU member states to stop using the option available to them under the Dublin Regulation of sending asylum-seekers to Bulgaria until the country “truly improves its appalling reception conditions.” Bulgaria is unable to cope with the floods of Syrian refugees and is trying to reduce their numbers by increasing surveillance and police controls along its borders with Turkey.
