Czech Republic withdraws opposition to charter of fundamental rights

Brussels, 20/02/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 19 February, MEP Andrew Duff (ALDE, United Kingdom) welcomed the decision by the new government of Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka to withdraw its proposal to join the British Protocol on the Charter of Fundamental Rights, made binding by the Lisbon Treaty.
