03/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - EIB loan for renewal of road network. Last week in Belgrade, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the World Bank (WB) signed three loan contracts totalling €273.8 million with the Serbian finance minister. The loans will be used to improve safety and support the renovation of part of the Serbian national road network. Investment will be carried out by the public enterprise “Roads of Serbia” and will be jointly funded by a loan of €100 million from the EIB, another €100 million loan from the EBRD, and, finally, a loan of €73.8 million from the WB. The remainder of the investment (€116.2 million) will be financed by the state of Serbia. (OL/transl.jl)
