Seventh edition of Juvenes Translatores competition

Brussels, 27/11/2013 (Agence Europe) - On 28 November, over 3,000 students, from all the countries of the European Union, will take part in the seventh edition of the Juvenes Translatores competition. Nearly 750 schools are ready to host the students and to have them take the tests. The test consists of a one-page translation, from one official EU language into another official language. There are 552 possible language combinations possible. With Croatia having recently joined the EU, 12 Croatian schools have been added to the participating schools since the last edition of the competition, and the Croatian language now features on the list of languages that can be used for the tests. The theme for this year is European citizenship. The prize-winners will be selected in February 2014 - with one winner per country - and they will be invited to receive their prize at a ceremony that will take place in April at the latest.
