Brussels, 08/11/2013 (Agence Europe) - In Barcelona on 11 and 12 November, the economic and social committees and similar institutions of the Euro-Mediterranean area are to hold their annual session. The meeting has been organised by the European Economic and Social Committee, in liaison with the Union for the Mediterranean.
Participants will, in particular, discuss: - the inclusion of social and economic circles in Mediterranean institutional policies, the implementation of macro-economic policies in the region and the contribution they can make to regional integration, the role of women, and migration and mobility. They will also look at strengthening collaboration between the social and economic committees of the region which wish to make a more direct contribution to Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
