31/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - Japan initiates action at WTO against Ukraine's safeguard measures for cars. On 30 October, at the WTO, Japan notified a request for consultations with Ukraine on the safeguard duties that Ukraine is imposing on certain passenger vehicles. In force since April, the duties amount to 6.46% for vehicles of a cylinder capacity between 1000 and 1500 cm3, and 12.95% for vehicles with cylinder capacity of between 1500 and 2200 cm3.
