SECTORAL POLICIES / (ae) transport

30/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - Ryanair Pilot Group. In Brussels on Tuesday 29 October, the Ryanair Pilot Group presented its demands, criticising the working conditions imposed by the Irish low-cost airline. The most pressing of these is the creation of a single contract applicable to all pilots, aligned with the legislation in force in the country where they are based. More than 60% of Ryanair pilots are affiliated to the group, but they have signed up anonymously due to fears of reprisals from their employer. The board of the group itself is made up of pilots employed by other airlines, as none of the pilots of the low-cost airline dared to take on the responsibility. The group has been created in collaboration with the European Cockpit Association. (MD/transl.fl)
