16/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - State aid for gas network in Poland and Greece. The European Commission has given the go-ahead to some €465 million in state aid from Poland for GAZ-SYSTEM, the country's state-owned gas transmission system operator, for construction of a series of gas pipelines and modernisation works in different parts of Poland that will be used by a huge number of suppliers. It also gave the go-ahead to €134 million in state aid from Greece for DESFA, Greece's only gas transmission operator. It is however obliged to ensure that third party access is available to its network for all suppliers of gas. (MB/transl.fl)
