The screening of Chapter 24 (on freedom, security and justice) of the accession negotiations starts with Serbia on 2 October, announced a spokesperson for European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle on 1 October. On 25-26 September, Serbia and the EU carried out the screening of Chapter 23 on the judicial apparatus and fundamental rights (see EUROPE 10930). (CG/transl.fl)
