Brussels, 04/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 4 September, the European Commission formally approved certain texts related to the political agreement of June of this year between the Council and the European Parliament on the multi-annual financial framework (MFF) 2014-2020 of the EU. These are: a draft interinstitutional agreement between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on budgetary discipline, cooperation in budgetary matters and correct financial management, as well as six draft declarations: 1) on own resources; 2) on improving the efficiency of public expenditure; 3) on improving gender equality; 4) on Article 15 of the regulation laying down the MFF 2014-2020, (€2143 million for youth employment, €200 million for Horizon 2020, €150 million for Erasmus and €50 million for COSME; 5) on the national management declarations to be published by the member states at the appropriate political level; 6) on budgetary review. The package does not include the draft MFF regulation, as it is still to be approved by the Council and the EP. (LC/transl.fl)
