Brussels, 04/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou will visit Lithuania on 5-10 September. This is in order to support the efforts of the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers to ensure that quality education and opportunities for young people are at the top of the political agenda, the European Commission announced. A meeting with Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaité and other official figures, as well as several visits, are on the agenda. “I am pleased that the Lithuanian EU Presidency is stressing the importance of education and youth for sustainable growth and jobs.
