On Monday 22 July, the Foreign Affairs Council decided to grant Kyrgyzstan macro-financial assistance of €30million under the EU's macro-economic programme for third countries. The funding will help to support the country's economic stabilisation and cover its balance of payments needs as identified in the IMF adjustment programme currently being implemented by Kyrgyzstan.
