27/06/2013 (Agence Europe) - WTO will decide between Indonesia and EU on fatty alcohols. On 25 June, the WTO's dispute settlement body set up a special group on the complaint brought by Indonesia concerning the EU's anti-dumping measures that target Indonesia's exports of certain fatty alcohols. The complaint also concerns certain aspects of the European investigation at the root of these measures (DS 442). South Korea, the USA and India are third parties in the issue. At the end of July 2012, Indonesia presented a request for consultation with the EU but the consultation later ended in failure. The measure which Jakarta contests was imposed in November 2011 under EU Regulation 1138/2011 establishing definitive anti-dumping duties on the import of some fatty alcohols originating in India, Indonesia and Malaysia.
