Brussels, 17/05/2013 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice general advocate Julian Kokott issued an opinion in Case C-298/12 on 16 May that is partially in favour of a call by French farm trade union, Confédération Paysanne, challenging the way France calculates direct farm payments for farms involved in agri-environmental action (in other words, reducing their output) before the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy in 2003.
