Brussels, 22/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - According to an official EU press release, on Monday in Rabat, the EU and Morocco began negotiations for a deep and comprehensive free-trade agreement (DCFTA). The formal launch of these negotiations took place during José M. Barroso's visit to Morocco on 1 March last. According to the same source, the objective of these negotiations is to: liberalise a number of areas that are still not covered, services and public procurement, as well as to provide better protection for investment and make new commitments in the area of competition and intellectual property rights.
