Brussels, 10/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 9 April, the European Commission presented an independent study carried out by consultants PWC which compiles information on good practice in electronic procurement, or e-procurement, in the European Union.
The study was carried out as part of European efforts being undertaken to promote e-procurement operations (see EUROPE 10238). It analysed around 30 e-procurement platforms in 18 member states. It identified 24 different examples of good practice under a number of criteria: access for SMEs; legal security; cross-border factors; transparency; user-friendly interface and the ability to amend management practices.
