European Maritime Safety Agency budget is up 4%

Brussels, 04/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 3 April, the European Commission proposed a 4.2% rise in the budget for the functioning of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to allow continued action to combat pollution caused by ships. The Commission proposes the agency should receive €160.5 million over the period 2014-2020, compared to €154 million within the EU's current multiannual financial framework (2007-2013).
