02/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - Attack at Damascus University. “Deeply shocked” by the attack at Damascus University that killed at least 15 students and wounded a number of others, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton condemned “this ruthless act in the strongest terms”, her spokesperson announced in a press release on 30 March. This attack is an example of spiralling violence, with the indiscriminate murder of civilians, which cannot be tolerated, the spokesperson said. The university was shelled on 28 March. (CG/transl.fl)
